Sisi meets German president

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held talks with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Federal Palace on Monday 29/10/2018.
Talks tackled boosting bilateral cooperation in different domains.
The two sides exchanged viewpoints towards a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
President Sisi Monday reviewed the latest developments in Egypt in the fields of security and stability and ongoing efforts to push forward the development process.
The Egyptian leader asserted Egypt's keenness on intensifying cooperation with Germany particularly in the economic, trade and investment fields in a way that increases German investments in Egypt, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The German president expressed his country's keenness on pushing forward cooperation with Egypt in the various fields and supporting Egypt's efforts in its quest to achieve development.
The meeting tackled a number of issues of mutual concern especially Egyptian efforts to combat terrorism and illegal immigration in parallel with development efforts.
The two sides reviewed a number of regional issues especially the latest developments in Libya and Syria.
President Sisi asserted keenness on reaching political solutions to these crises in conformity with the Egyptian policy principles in terms of protecting the state entity and respecting sovereignty and territorial safety.
President Sisi also expressed appreciation of the distinguished relations between the two countries which helped enhance bilateral cooperation on the basis of partnership and mutual interests.
He invited his German counterpart to visit Egypt which he welcomed, expressing appreciation and respect to Egypt and its leadership.
