Germany denounces Minya terror attack

 

The German Embassy in Cairo condemned on Friday an attack that targeted a bus carrying Copts in Minya governorate.

 

In a press release, German Ambassador in Cairo Juluis Georg Luy said his country backs the Egyptian people.

 

He offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery.

 

Greece deplores Egypt terror attack

 

The Greek foreign ministry condemned a terror attack that targeted a bus carrying Copts in Minya on Friday.

 

In a tweet, the ministry asserted strong support for Egypt in its counter-terror efforts.

 

It offered condolences to the families of the victims.

 

France denounces Minya terror attack

 

France condemned on Friday an attack that targeted a bus carrying Copts in Minya governorate.

 

In a press release, the French Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery.

 

The statement also stressed France’s full support to Egypt in its war against terrorism.

 

Kuwait condemns terrorist attack in Egypt

 

Kuwait strongly condemned a terrorist attack on a bus in Minya on Friday.

 

Kuwait affirms support to Egypt and all measures it takes to combat such terrorist acts that target the country's security, stability, social structure, and people, an official source at the foreign ministry was quoted by the the state news agency KUNA as saying in a statement.

 

The statement reiterated rejection of all forms of terrorism and violence, calling for mobilizing maximum international support in order to face terrorism.

 

It offered condolences to the families of the victims of the attack in Egypt, wishing the injured speedy recovery.

 

The attack on a bus carrying Copts left 14 dead and wounded.

 

Lebanese information min. denounces Minya terror attack

Lebanese Minister of Information Melhem al-Reyashi condemned on Friday an attack that targeted a bus carrying Copts in Minya.

 

In statements to MENA, Reyashi said that Lebanon considers any attack on Egypt an attack on itself, adding that today's aggression defames Islam.

 

"The whole world is in need of Egypt," he said, hailing its key regional role.

 

Yemeni president condoles with Sisi over Minya terror attack victims

 

Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi sent on Friday a cable of condolences to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the victims of an attack that targeted a bus carrying Copts in Minya.

 

In his cable, Hadi asserted Yemen’s support to Egypt in the war against terrorism and all security measures taken to protect its stability and security.

 

He also offered his condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

 

UK amb. asserts support to Egypt against terrorism

 

British Ambassador to Egypt Geoffrey Adams strongly condemned on Friday an attack that targeted a bus carrying a number of Copts near the Monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor in Minya governorate.

 

"Britain stands with Egypt against terrorism", Adams said in a tweet, adding "I offer my deepest condolences to all Egyptians as we mourn together the loss of innocent lives today."

 

The attack left seven people dead and seven others injured.

 

Saudi King condoles with Sisi over Minya terror attack victims

 

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a cable of condolences and consolation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi after a terrorist attack that targeted a bus in Minya.

 

"We have been informed of a terrorist attack that targeted a bus in Minya Province, resulting in deaths and casualties, and as we, strongly, denounce such criminal act, we share with Your Excellency the pain of such a calamity," the monarch was quoted by the official news agency SPA as saying in the cable.

 

He asserted "the Kingdom's support to Egypt and its fraternal people and expressed, on behalf of the people and government of Saudi Arabia, utmost condolences and sincere consolation."

 

He also wished speedy recovery for the injured.

 

 

US embassy deplores Minya terror attack

 

The US Embassy in Cairo strongly condemned on Friday an attack that targeted a bus carrying a number of Copts in Minya.

 

In a tweet, the embassy said it "condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on Egyptian pilgrims today in Minya and we offer sincere condolences. We stand with the Egyptian government and people against terrorism."

 

Hariri condemns Minya terrorist attack

 

Lebanese prime minister-designate Saad el Hariri strongly condemned on Friday an attack that targeted a bus carrying a number of Copts in Minya.

 

In a tweet, he said "We condemn the criminal terrorist attack on a bus on its way to the monastery of Anba Samuel, which resulted in the fall of innocent victims."

 

"We stand by our people in Egypt and all the Arab countries in the face of terrorism," he added.

 

The attack left seven people dead and seven others injured.

French Ambassador in Cairo Stefan Roumtier asserted on Friday his country’s support to the Egyptian people in the fight against terrorism.

 

The diplomat was commenting in a tweet on an attack that targeted a bus carrying a number of Copts near the Monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor in Minya governorate.

 

The attack left seven people dead and seven others injured.


UAE denounces Minya terror attack

 

The United Arab Emirates condemned in the strongest possible terms as heinous a terrorist attack on a bus carrying Copts in Upper Egypt's Minya governorate, in which scores of people were killed and wounded.

 

''The UAE stands in solidarity with Egypt with the government and people of sisterly Egypt in confronting extremism and terrorism, which seek to undermine Egypt's stability and its national unity,'' said Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, in a statement, WAM news agency reported on Friday.

 

''While we extend our heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Egypt on the victims of this terrible terrorist attack, we confirm our confidence in the measures taken by the Egyptian government to fight terrorism and whoever espouses it," the UAE top diplomat noted.

 

"We also highly value the high sense of consciousness of the Egyptian people in regards to the objectives of these terrorist groups against Egypt's security and stability ... May Allah protect Egypt and its people,'' Sheikh Abdullah added.
