Sunday، 04 November 2018 - 04:35 PM

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed that correcting the religious discourse is considered one of the most important requirements needed by the region and the world.

Old ideas that date back to one thousand years are no more valid for the current age, he noted.

During his participation in session dubbed "The role of world leaders in building and sustaining peace" as part of the ongoing World Youth Forum, President Sisi asserted the importance of finding terms of religious discourse that cope with the contemporary era.

He pointed out to the need to correct the religious discourse because of the spread of regional conflicts and the presence of great numbers of refugees.

The president further referred to the unified law for all houses of worship, adding that Egypt has been constructing only mosques before issuing this law but now the State pays attention to building churches in every new community.

Had Egypt had citizens embracing other religions, the State would have constructed places of worship for them, Sisi affirmed
