President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said Ethiopia has witnessed new positive changes as regards its leaderships.
During a meeting held on Tuesday 6/11/2018 with representatives of foreign media in Egypt, the President said an agreement has been reached with African states to support development projects as long as they do not affect the lives of the Egyptians who depend wholly on the River Nile water.
"We want to change Ethiopia's goodwill to tangible accords. We want Ethiopia to ensure that filling up its Millennium Dam will not affect Egypt's water quota from the technical perspective.
The technical committees have not reached an agreement on the issue so far. We need a guarantee that the dam would not be used for political reasons. However, there are positive indications coming from the new Ethiopian leadership," he added.
