Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Wednesday a delegation of the Egyptian-British parliamentary friendship group, under MP Dalia Youssef, at the headquarters of the Egyptian parliament.

The meeting comes as part of the foreign ministry's keenness to stay in contact with the Egyptian MPs in order to activate the role of parliamentary diplomacy abroad, the ministry's spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.

The Egyptian-British parliamentary friendship group is scheduled to pay a five-day visit to London next week.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed Egypt's vision with regard to all aspects of cooperation with Britain, Hafez said.

The minister stressed the importance of the visit to be paid by the delegation of the Egyptian-British parliamentary friendship group to London on November 11.

He called on the lawmakers to convey a positive image about Egypt during the visit.

The delegation members, meanwhile, appreciated the role play by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry to maintain Egypt's diplomatic relations with the other countries. (MENA)
