Egypt, Bulgaria probe fostering cooperation in tourism field

Minister of Tourism Rania el Mashat reviewed with her Bulgarian counterpart Nikolina Angelkova a new plan to promote Egyptian tourism as well as a program to restructure the country’s tourism sector, set to be launched late November.
During the meeting held on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, the two ministers discussed means of fostering bilateral cooperation in the tourism field, the Ministry of Tourism said in a statement Thursday 08/11/2018.
Mashat noted that there are several opportunities for tourism investment, especially in the Red Sea and the North Coast, stressing in this regard that the State attaches great importance to the tourism file.
The tourism ministry is about to establish a fund to develop hotels, she said, adding that it will contribute to improving the hotel and hospitality sector.
Meanwhile, the Bulgarian minister voiced her desire to visit Egypt.
She said that Bulgarian investors are willing to invest in Egypt-bound tourism.
