Sisi honors key Islamic figures from Egypt & abroad

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honored on Monday 19/11/2018 a number of eminent Islamic intellectuals from Egypt and abroad during a celebration held here to mark Al Mawlid Al Nabawi (the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohamed), organized by the Ministry of Awqaf.

The president offered the Merit of Sciences and Arts of the first degree to a number of figures from Egypt, namely Dr Mohamed Ezzat, the Director-General of Quran Affairs, Samir el Refae, the former head of the Central Department of Supervision and Discipline, Abdel Nasser el Naggar, the Awqaf Undersecretary for Upper Egypt Directorates Affairs, Mohamed el Ashhat, the Head of the Central Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr Abdallah Hassan Abdel Qawi, the Assistant Awqaf Minister and a graduate of the first class of the Presidential Leadership Program.

The president also honored Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje and Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan Serikbay Kazhy Oraza.
