President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Monday 19/11/2018 the message of Islam that was revealed to Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) was very keen to establish the principles and rules of peaceful co-existence among Mankind and the right of all people to a decent life regardless of their religion, color or sex.
Addressing a celebration organized by the Awqaf Ministry to mark Al Mawlid Al Nabawi (Prophet Mohamed's birth anniversary), President Sisi said "Allah Almighty created us as nations and tribes, culturally, religiously and ethnically diverse to get acquainted with each other. Today, we are in dire need of interpreting the meanings of such sublime message into a tangible and practical reality in our lives."
Islam has taught us not to impose religion on others which embodies the values of tolerance and acceptance of others, the president said.
However, he added, there are those among us who misunderstood the correct teachings of Islam and revoked moderation and adopted extremist views which are totally against the Quran in terms of protecting and honoring lives.
Developing the personality and enlightening minds on sound bases is the axis of any efforts to develop communities, the president said, referring to the state's strategy in this respect.
The president noted the great values of Islam which call for work, construction and perfectionism in the face of calls for extremism and terror.
"Prophet Mohamed, the prophet of mercy, has been an example to all people in his great behavior and actions, so let us follow his example and make our country a beacon of peace and culture for all Mankind," the president concluded.
