Sisi voices keenness on boosting ties with Gambia

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has expressed Egypt's keenness on boosting relations with Gambia in all fields, especially in the infrastructure, technical assistance and training domains.

The president's statements came during a meeting  on Monday 10/12/20-18 with Gambian President Adama Barrow in the presence of the foreign minister and general intelligence chief.

Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said the president hailed distinguished ties binding Egypt and Gambia and their peoples.

For his part, the Gambian leader praised the development in relations, saying he was keen to participate in Africa 2018 forum which became one of the most important investment gatherings.

The spokesman said the two leaders discussed the latest developments in Gambia, pointing out that President Sisi expressed Egypt's keenness on supporting Gambia at international forums.

The president welcomed political developments in Gambia under president Barrow.
