President Abdel Fattah El Sisi left on Sunday 16/12/2018 for Austria on a four-day official visit to take part in the high-level Africa-Europe Forum, co-hosted by Rwandan President Paul Kagame and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi.

Radi noted that extending invitation to President Sisi to attend the forum comes in appreciation of Egypt's position in Africa and the region especially ahead of Egypt's presidency to the African Union in 2019.

President Sisi is to deliver an address at the forum to tackle Egypt's vision to push forward development efforts in Africa, the spokesman added.

As regards bilateral relations between Egypt and Austria, Radi said the president's visit will include meetings with a number of politicians, senior officials and investors on furthering cooperation in the trade, educational and scientific research, transport and investment domains.

A host of African and European leaders is to take part in the event aiming at enhancing African-European partnership.
