President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday 24/12/2018 issued directives to the government to implement a set of executive measures aiming to provide more support and care to the people with special needs.

Addressing a celebration marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Sisi ordered the government to study the expansion of engineering availability code at all youth and sports facilities as well as apartments designed by the Housing Ministry nationwide.

The President also decided that Egypt's Olympic, international and continental medalists with special needs would receive financial awards equal to ordinary athletes in their categories.

He ordered comprehensive health insurance, including mental health services, to be provided to all people with special needs nationwide.
