A tripartite summit was held between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Sudanese counterpart Omar Bashir and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Addis Ababa.
The meeting is part of talks started by the three leaders in January 2018 on Ethiopia's Renaissance Dam project to overcome any impediments in this regard, said presidential spokesman Bassam Radi on Sunday.
Sisi asserted the importance of adopting a balanced and cooperative vision for the filling and operation of the dam to achieve the interests of each country, added Radi.
The three leaders stressed the urgency of having a unified view on the dam, to be based on the declaration of principles signed in Khartoum.
The summit tackled means of promoting cooperation and relations among the three countries.
