Sisi expresses Egypt's openness to boost relations with Ukraine

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday expressed Egypt's openness to explore further areas of cooperation with Ukraine.
Meeting his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in Munich, Sisi hailed developing ties between the two countries and recent cooperation in various fields, including tourism following operating direct Ukrainian Airlines flights between Cairo and Kiev.
Egypt is Ukraine's most important trade partner in the Middle East and Africa, he added.
In turn, Poroshenko affirmed Ukraine's keenness on boosting the relations with Egypt and coordination on issues of common concern, especially in light of Cairo's pivotal role in the Middle East, African and the Mediterranean regions.
The two presidents pledged to launch a new era of boosting bilateral cooperation in various fields in the coming stage, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
