Sisi hails Egypt's relations with Germany

The Egyptian-German relations represent one of the most important partnerships in Europe, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Saturday 16/02/2019.

The President gave his remarks during a meeting with Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Soder in Munich on the sidelines of the 55th round of Munich Security Conference.

During the meeting, Sisi posted the premier on the achievements of Egypt's reform program, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

They discussed means of pushing forward cooperation between Egypt and German companies headquartered in Bavaria, Rady added.

Sisi further shed the light on several major development projects in progress, particularly the Suez Canal Corridor Development project and investment opportunities it offers to Bavarian companies.

Welcoming Sisi to the State of Bavaria, Soder emphasized the historical ties between the peoples of both countries.

He also stressed that he calls on German companies to invest in Egypt given its pivotal position in the Middle East, Africa and the Mediterranean region.
