Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem said that Egypt's participation in Paris Book Fair for the first time represents an intellectual bridge for dialogue between Egyptian intellectuals and their counterparts from around the world.
In a statement on Thursday, Abdel Dayem said that the presence of the Egyptian books in Paris comes in line with the activities that are connected with "Egypt – France Cultural Year" that was announced by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Egypt will be represented by the General Egyptian Book Organization and the National Center for Translation and the Cultural Development Fund, she said, adding that holding various events between both countries contributes to consolidating relations between them.
Egypt is taking part for the first time in the 39th edition of Paris Book Fair, which brings together more than 3,000 French and international authors.
