Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan and Saudi Minister of Labor and Social Development Ahmed bin Suleiman al Rajhi issues related to the Egyptian workforce in Saudi Arabia topped by electronic linkage between the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower and the Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Development in order to put an end to corruption and manipulation in contracts of expat workers.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 46th session of the Arab Labor Conference, currently being held in Cairo and running until April 21 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The electronic linkage system which was implemented by the ministry in cooperation with Jordan succeeded in legalizing the labor conditions, Saafan said at his meeting with his Saudi counterpart.
Both ministers asserted the depth of traditional ties between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Rajhi said that Saudi Arabia has already started electronic linkage between some embassies to eradicate bureaucracy hampering businesses and trade growth.
Rajhi expressed keenness on benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in issues related to employment and laborers especially when it comes to entrepreneurship, pointing out that the kingdom is working hard to reduce unemployment rates
