PM inaugurates largest tomb in west bank of Nile River

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inaugurated in Luxor on Thursday 18/04/2019 the largest tomb in the west bank of the Nile River.

The new ancient tomb belongs to "Shed-su Djehuti" or "Djehuti" deity. It was discovered in the necropolis of Dra' Abu el-Naga' which is located on the west bank of the Nile at the ancient Thebes city whose ruins lie within the modern Egyptian city of Luxor.

Earlier in the day, Madbouli started his tour of Upper Egypt's Luxor city by visiting the Colossi of Memnon at the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III on the west bank of the Nile.

The prime minister is being accompanied by a number of ministers, including Antiquities Minister Khalid el Anani.

During his tour he is scheduled to have a meeting with MPs and executive officials and visit the sites of some under-construction development projects.
