Foreign Ministry closely monitors expats' voting

The Foreign Ministry's operations room said Friday it is closely monitoring the voting process on the first day of the constitutional amendments referendum, kicked off earlier on the day in Egypt's embassies and consulates worldwide.
In a statement, the room said expats have flocked to the polling stations at Egyptian diplomatic missions' HQs to cast their ballots.

Measures are taken around the clock to ensure the voting process is going smoothly, the statement concluded.
The voting started on Friday for Egyptian expats at 140 polling stations in 124 countries.
The voting process started on Friday, April 19 and will end on April 21 from 9:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m according to each country's local time.
