Culture Ministry celebrates Ramadan with the Ugandan people

Troupe fascinated Ugandan Audience. 

According to the initiatives of President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi to promote and strengthen communication with the countries of the African Continent, within the celebrations of the Ministry of Culture for Egypt presidency of the African Union, which is part of the ministry’s strategy to build cultural and artistic bridges with African countries, the religious songs animated several cities in Uganda.

The Al- Soubaya troupe has impressed the audience by the Recitals of Praising the Prophet and won the admiration of the Ugandan people who interacted with the Egyptian artists and called for the intensification of such events as a mean of rapprochement between the African peoples and Egypt. Moreover, Shaaban Ramadan Moabaj, the Grand Mufti of Uganda, met with members of the delegation of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the capital Kampala and he praised the role of soft power in creating a way of communication between the peoples of the continent. He pointed out that the cultural and artistic missions of Egypt reflect the distinguished relations between the two countries and look forward to working together to build a bright future.

Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel-Dayem, said that the plan of the ministry's celebrations was prepared to celebrate the Egyptian presidency of the African Union and it is characterized by richness, diversity and the multiplicity of innovative creative activities between Egypt and the African countries. These celebrations also highlight the importance of the role of soft power in creating communication among the peoples of the same land, aiming at creating understanding and acquaintance and integration, they also eliminate the distances between the people of the continent. Abdel Dayem pointed to the activities of investment to highlight the features of Egyptian civilization and shed light on the kinds of thought, modern art and contemporary dialogue with writers, artists and artistic troupes   of the same continent.
