President Sisi pays special attention to developing infrastructure in Africa - diplomat

Egypt's permanent representative to the United Nations (UN) Mohamed Idris stressed that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi pays special attention to developing infrastructure in Africa as a means to benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area.
The diplomat's remark came during a ceremony marking "Africa Day" organized by Egypt's permanent delegation to the UN with the participation of African missions to New York.
Idris further highlighted the attention paid by President Sisi to reconstruction and development in the post-conflict stages, pointing to Egypt's efforts to serve African interests.
He reviewed the agenda of Egypt's presidency of the African Union (AU) in 2019.
