PM: Utmost efforts exerted to swiftly finalize Grand Egyptian Museum

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said on Saturday June 15, 2019 that utmost efforts are exerted to swiftly finalize the Grand Egyptian Museum project, as he issued directives that all relevant works should be carried out very precisely.
The premier made the remarks as he inspected the latest developments of construction works at the Grand Egyptian Museum and its surrounding area.
He was accompanied by Minister of Antiquities Khaled el Anani and general supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum Atef Moftah.
The visit also included a tour of the site, to which the two Khufu boats are set to be transferred, with the prime minister giving orders that the relocation process be studied by experts and specialists.
Meanwhile, the minister of antiquities said the Grand Egyptian Museum project is set up on an area of 167,000 square meters, adding that about 91.5 percent of the total works have been finalized.
