Marawn made his announcement during a joint press conference with Aswan Governor Ahmed Ibrahim following a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
The meeting took up the government measures to compensate the Nubians affected by the building and raising the height of the Aswan reservoir and erecting the High Dam.
Compensation requests must be submitted within a maximum period of three weeks as of Tuesday, June 25, Marawn said, noting that the names of those entitled to compensation will be announced at the governorate's headquarters, via its official website and at the relevant diplomatic and consular premises after 10 days of the application period.
Any grievances in this regard are to be submitted within 10 days after announcing the names of those eligible for compensation, the minister added.
