Sisi stresses confidence in Algerian institutions' ability to address current challenges

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi voiced full confidence in the ability of the Algerian institutions and people to deal with the current challenges without any external interference.
President Sisi made the remarks on Thursday at a meeting held at Ittihadiya Palace with Algeria's interim President Abdelkader Bensalah who is visiting Egypt on his first external trip.
President Sisi lauded the performance of the Algerian national team which has been witnessed throughout the tournament as well as the patriotism of its members.
Sisi as well hailed the distinguished levels that bilateral relations have reached, stressing Egypt's keenness on pushing forward bilateral cooperation in various fields.
In the meantime, Algerian president Abdelkader Bensalah congratulated President Sisi on the impressive success of Egypt's hosting and organizing of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
During the meeting, the Algerian president reviewed the latest developments in his country, stressing that everything is moving ahead on the right track in accordance with the constitutional path.
Algeria's interim President Abdelkader Bensalah asserted his country's appreciation for the solid and distinguished relations with Egypt at all levels. Bensalah lauded what has been achieved by Egypt over the past few years to bring about security, stability and development which helped the country restore its leading role in both regional and international arenas.
Moreover, Bensalah said he is satisfied with the ongoing coordination between both countries on the Libyan file in light of the trilateral mechanism which groups Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia.
Bensalah arrived here to support his country's team against Senegal in the 2019 AFCON final, slated for Friday at Cairo International Stadium.
