Body of Egyptian scientist Abu Bakr Abdel Moniem arrives home from Morocco

The body of Dr Abu Bakr Abdel Moneim Ramadan, an Egyptian nuclear scientist, who died during his participation in a workshop in Marrakech, arrived here on Wednesday 11/9/2019.
He will be buried in his hometown in Gharbiya governorate after his casket was checked out of Cairo International Airport where his family and friends have been waiting for end of measures.
The Egyptian Embassy in Marrakech has been maintaining contacts with the Moroccan authorities ever since Ramadan was announced dead to follow up all necessary measures in terms of the cause of his death.
The Egyptian scientist felt sick during his participation in a workshop and excused himself to leave for his hotel room to take a medication and have some rest. As one of the hotel staff was passing by his room, he heard his cry for help. The hotel doctor said he suffered a heart attack and had to be rushed to hospital, but he died on the way.
The cause of death was a heart attack, according to the hospital and the forensic report. A forensic exam was done in conformity with the Moroccan kingdom's regulations.
