Thursday، 31 October 2019 - 01:02 PM

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Thursday the inauguration of two factories of El Nasr Company For Intermediate Chemicals.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki attended the event alongside Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal.

A number of ministers and senior state officials were also present.

Director of the National Services Projects Organization (NSPO) Mostafa Amin said the organization seeks to get its companies to implement projects that would buttress the state's comprehensive development plans in line with directives of President Sisi.

He noted that the company carried out projects of land reclamation and desert land cultivation to strengthen food security.

The organization has also secured more than 16,000 jobs for youths in various sectors nationwide in 2018 and 2019, he said.

In August, the company opened a mega complex for the production of phosphate and compound fertilizers in Ain Sokhna, he pointed out.

The new factories being inaugurated today in Abu Rawash, Giza, will produce medical and industrial gases as well as hydrogen peroxide, he added.

Director General of the National Service Products Organization (NSPO) Mostafa Amin said the industrial and medical gases factory is the third to be set up by the NSPO.

The factory's production capacity is estimated at 2,200 cubic meters of oxygen, 900 cubic meters of nitrogen and about 100 cubic meters of argon gas per hour.

These gases are vital for petroleum as well as medical industries.

Director General of the National Service Products Organization (NSPO) Mostafa Amin said the hydrogen peroxide factory is the first of its kind in Egypt, noting that the chemical compound is used in manufacturing papers and textiles as well as several nutritional, pharmaceutical and oil products.

Amin said the factory will help in realizing self-sufficiency for its production will meet local market needs, thus Egypt can stop importing the chemical, and even export the surplus.

The factory's production capacity stands at 23,000 tons per year, he said, noting that the two factories were accomplished in 18 months.

Following his address a documentary was displayed to illustrate the work of the two new factories and shed light on the history of the El Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals which comprises 37 factories which together constitute an integrated mechanism of strategic industries.

El Nasr Company For Intermediate Chemicals Board Chairman Mokhtar Abdel Latif welcomed all the attendees and offered greetings to President Sisi on October war anniversary.

Meanwhile, he said the company faced great challenges while establishing 11 new factories for its total factories to reach 37.

He said the company managed to overcome many hardships by the support of President Sisi and the company's employees.

So far, the company has established four factories for producing solid and liquefied agro-fertilizers, four factories for pesticides and four factories for industrial and medical gases in addition to two factories for solid and liquefied alum.

The company has 12 factories for the production of phosphate and compound fertilizers, potassium and phosphoric acid to serve the agricultural sector in Egypt, he said, noting that it also established four factories to produce concentrated sulfuric acid which is a main raw material used in the fertilizer industry and many other chemical industries.
