Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the Egyptian government has taken bold decisions three years ago which he said were the main reason for the country’s real economic reform which is being praised by international institutions.
The government continues supporting and engaging with the private sector as well as creating a leading business environment, he added.
The premier was speaking at a session held as part of the second and last day of "Investment for Africa Forum 2019" in the presence of Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr along with a number of speakers participating in the conference.
The premier said that Egypt had outlined a strong economic reform program in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and adopted measures to deal with the mistakes made in the past, citing the subsidy system as an example.
Madbouli asserted that investors would not have come to invest in the administrative capital if it had not been for the government’s efforts to pave the way in this regard.
He pointed out to the legislative changes made by the government to encourage the private sector to pump investments.
