Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Friday Egypt's policy towards Africa has changed since President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took office in 2014.
Egypt has a long history of cooperation with African countries during the independence era, Shoukry told eXtra News.
The integration between Egypt and African countries and Cairo's competitiveness made it necessary for the Egyptian foreign policy to focus on relations with Africa, he added.
The political leadership is keen on boosting ties with African countries at the political, economic and cultural levels, the top diplomat said.
