Trade Minister holds ministerial meeting to prepare for Egypt's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai

Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea discussed in a meeting on Friday 17/01/2020 with Minister of Planning Hala el-Saeed, Minister of International Cooperation Rania el-Mashat, besides Minister of Antiquities and Tourism Khaled el-Anany, and Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram the preparations for Egypt’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai that will be hosted by the UAE between October 2020 and April 2021 for the first time in the Middle East.

During the meeting, the ministers tackled preparations for the Egyptian pavilion and means to benefit from the space of pavilion, erected on 3,000 square meters.

Egypt's pavilion will be used to highlight the ancient Egyptian civilization and promote Egypt's tourism, and the unique investment opportunities available in Egypt in all sectors.

Expo 2020 Dubai, the first world exhibition to be hosted by an Arab and Muslim country will take place from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021.Some 25 million visitors are expected, with 30% coming from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and 70% from abroad, thus making this the first event of its kind to attract more international visitors than local attendees. Over 190 countries have already signed up to take part in the Expo, whose theme is 'Connecting Minds, Creating the Future'.
