Egypt, UK discuss cooperation in transport

Minister of Transport Kamel el Wazir discussed Wednesday 22/1/2020 with his UK counterpart Grant Shapps means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the field of transport.
Wazir had wrapped up his visit to the UK, where he took part in the Sustainable Infrastructure Forum that was held on the sidelines of the UK-Africa Investment Summit.
During the meeting, Shapps expressed his country’s eagerness to reinforce cooperation with Egypt in the coming period in various fields, especially in transport and infrastructure domains, the Transport Ministry said in a statement.
For his part, Wazir said that Cairo was interested in increasing cooperation with its international partners, especially the UK, which he said enjoys a great history in establishing railways.
The two sides reviewed the current projects, being implemented by the Egyptian Transport Ministry, in the field of railways.
