Egypt, France discuss promotion of cultural cooperation

Culture Minister Inas Abdel Dayem has discussed with a delegation of the Egyptian-French Friendship Group means to cement cooperation on joint cultural and artistic projects.

The minster on Thursday received the delegation members, who are on a visit to Egypt, praising deeply-rooted ties between Egypt and France at all levels.

Abdel Dayem said that 2019 witnessed many joint cultural and artistic events and activities after it was announced by the two countries’ leaderships as the Egyptian-French year of culture.

Key officials of the French delegation lauded the strong ties between both countries, noting that Egypt is a main partner for France.

Both sides also probed cooperation in a number of major national and cultural projects in the New Administrative Capital, in addition to opening cultural councils in different Egyptian governorates.

The meeting was held in the presence of MP Ayman Abul Ela, head of the Egyptian-French Parliamentary Friendship Association, and Stéphane Romatet, French Ambassador to Egypt, among others.
