Four members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were arrested following the dispersal of an illegal demonstration in Gharbiya. According to Gharbiya Security Chief General Osama Bedier, the detainees were taken into custody during protest in the city of Mahalla. Participants, around 30, chanted anti-army and police slogans.

ecurity forces arrested 297 members of Muslim Brotherhood and rioters in 15 governorates over charges of attacking police facilities and instigating violence. The arrests come upon warrants by the prosecution, Assistant Interior Minister Sayed Shafiq told MENA. The arrests took place in governorates of Alexandria, Cairo, Minya, Giza, Qalubya, Fayyoum, Aswan, Beheira, Menoufia, Sharqiya, North Sinai, Dakahlia, Assiut, Dameitta and Qena, he added.

Genral Mohamed Sami said. The cell groups three students and two drivers in the city of Beni Sueif, Sami said. The detainees confessed to possession of the bombs and plans to attack police forces and public facilities, Sami added.

Four members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested over charges of inciting violence and staging anti-state protests in North Sinai, a security source said. Meanwhile, 215 fugitives were arrested during a security operation in Gharbia, the province security chief Osama Bedeir said. Four firearms, three cartridges and 18 cold steel weapons were seized during the campaign, he added. Also, seven drug cases, 20 supply cases and 56 public facilities cases were recorded.

Seven students affiliated to the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were arrested in Minya province with petrol bombs and fire crackers in their possession, said the acting university president. Gamal Abu el-Magd added that the security personnel arrested them during an on campus protest. He asserted the MB students would not be given a chance to mar the academic year, adding that firm actions were taken to prevent any violent acts at the university.

 The military court in Suez issued a verdict to imprison 20 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and Islamist groups in Suez. The defendants, who got from two years to life sentence, face charges of burning churches, schools and army armored vehicles as well as killing citizens, according to a judicial source. The army and police forces arrested the defendants after the dispersal of Rabaa el-Adwiya and Nahda sit-ins.
