Menoufia security forces dispersed two protests staged by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood in Sadat and Ashmoun. The MB members launched fireworks, set fire to car tires and cut off roads, chanting anti-state slogans. Four MB members were arrested after that threw stones and Molotov cocktails at security forces that rushed to the scenes to disperse the illegal protests.

Minya security forces arrested 14 members of the Muslim Brotherhood for violating protest law and rioting. The arrest comes as part of a security crackdown launched under security chief Mohamed Sadel Helbawi. Some 12 arms, 33 bullets and five white weapons were also seized during the operation.

Menoufia security forces dispersed a rally staged by Muslim Brotherhood members outside Faculty of Engineering in Shebin el Koum.  Meanwhile, a security source at Fayyoum University said that the head of administrative security at Faculty of Arts was injured in his head and body, when he confronted an attack by a number of Brotherhood students on security premises at the faculty.  Also, six members of the terrorist Brotherhood group in Tanta have been remanded in custody for 15 days pending investigations over charges of inciting riots and violence acts.

Security forces in Sohag arrested a student who is member of the banned Muslim Brotherhood with a large quantity of fireworks and boxes containing gunpowder in his possession. The 20-year-old student was hiding large quantities of fireworks and various types of bombs in his home to use them in sabotage operations against police and army facilities. In Suez, the prosecution ordered remanding an MB member for 15 days pending investigations over accusations of setting police vehicles and motorbikes ablaze.

Two members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group were arrested in the governorate of Minya over violence charges. The two were arrested while they were hiding in a villa in the Upper Egyptian city. They are accused of attacking public institutions and inciting protests and violence.  The public prosecution was notified to launch an investigation into the incident.

Nine members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group were arrested in Sohag, Daqahliya, Cairo, Fayoum and Menoufiya. A Brotherhood member was arrested in Sohag over planting a homemade bomb inside Maghagha railway station last month, according to a statement by Interior Ministry. Also, another MB member, the main suspect in killing son of counselor Mahmoud el Sayed, in Mansoura, added the statement. In Fayyoum, a Brotherhood member was arrested over charges of attempting to storm a police station, attacking citizens, opening fire on a court in Fayyoum along with other several charges.

Six people were arrested over charges of setting fire to the branches of Emirates NBD and KFC restaurant in Giza, read a statement by the Interior Ministry.  According to a police report, the six detainees, who are members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group, confessed to the crimes saying they used shotguns, stones and petrol bombs to attack the bank and restaurant branches on February 2.  They guided the security forces to other perpetrators. The statement said police are on the hunt of the accused.

Alexandria security forces arrested two elements of the banned Muslim Brotherhood group with tools and materials used to make bombs in their possession. Upon a tip-off to Alexandria security forces, the detainees, who are belonging to a group, called "Raad" or "thunder" affiliated to the MB group, were arrested over their involvement in 43 terror and sabotage acts. A large number of nails, electric wires and batteries, and a laptop were seized with the two detainees.

Security forces in Qalubiya foiled attempt by elements belonging to the banned Muslim Brotherhood to block the ring road in Shubra El Kheima after protesting in the neighborhood. Some 15 rioters were arrested with arms in their possession during the protest. Qalubiya Security Chief General Mahmoud Youssri said he received a report that a number of MB elements are gathered near the ring road to block traffic. Security forces rushed to the scene and arrested the rioters and prosecution was notified to launch a probe.

Weapons and Molotov cocktails were found in their possession. This comes in the framework of the security efforts exerted to arrest terrorists involved in inciting violence and sabotage against police and public facilities. The security bodies carried out needed legal measures and the prosecution was notified to open a probe.

Police arrested four terrorist cells in Alexandria, Giza, Dakahlia and Fayyoum. In Alexandria, 19 Muslim Brotherhood loyalists were arrested for forming a terrorist group targeting public and police institutions and preparing improvised and structural explosive devices. In Dakahlia, police arrested a ten-member terror cell over plots to incite violence in Mansoura University during the second semester. Firearms were seized during the arrest. In the meantime, six MB members were bused in Giza and Fayyoum for inciting violence.

The detainee, along with MB members, formed a cell that targeted security forces and blocked streets in the canal city of Suez, security source said. He was wanted over seven charges, the source said.

In Qalyubia, one person was arrested for possessing Molotov cocktails to be used in MB protests. In Menoufiya, a man and his two sons aged 17 and 16 were arrested for producing Molotov cocktails.
