Solidarity with World against Terrorism

Egypt, over more than two years, is alone in a battle against terrorism and extremism, nationwide with special focus northern Sinai. Egypt's political leadership has always called for international cooperation to confront terrorism, which has no country or religion or address. Terrorism corrupts the minds of the youth and adults to destroy themselves, humanity and their nations. The tolerant religion of Islam and all Muslims were stigmatized by the negative impacts of terrorism acts which is outlandish to their traits.
On Saturday 31/10/2015 the Russian A321 airliner crashed in North Sinai. However, the fact that the investigative commission did not reach any results till now, Russia has officially confirmed on November 17, 2015 that the plane crash was a terror act. Russia stated that traces of explosives were found on the debris from the Russian A321 airliner that crashed in Sinai.
What was announced in Moscow lately, international politicians and newspapers had put forth only after three days of the tragedy. They talked about the bomb hypothesis and the involvement of the terrorist organization "Daash" that expands violently in many countries in the region such as Syria, Iraq and Libya and reached the middle of the African Continent and blowing up mosques in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Yemen.
No one can claim that Daash fighters are only Arabs; they are a group of international extremists and terrorists that found support and fund.
Dormant cells were encouraged to hit a residential area of the Lebanese capital Beirut, leaving scores dead and hundreds injured.
After that Paris was attacked, innocent people were terrorized, scores dead and hundreds injured.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi telephoned on 31/10/2015 Russian President Vladimir Putin, offering condolences over the victims of a Russian airliner that crashed in Egypt's central Sinai, killing all on board. During the call, President Sisi said that he has been following up the latest developments of the crash since his return to Cairo from a foreign tour.
Egypt has strongly condemned the two suicide bombings that hit a residential area of the Lebanese capital Beirut, leaving scores dead and hundreds injured.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi offered condolences to his French Counterpart François Hollande over the victims of the Paris attacks. During a phone call, Sisi and Hollande discussed the latest developments in the attack that took place in Paris. Sisi voiced solidarity with the French people in facing terrorism, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi chaired 16/11/2015 the first meeting of the National Security Council to discuss efforts to counter terrorism at both the internal and international levels. The council comprises the prime minister, ministers of defense and military production, finance, foreign affairs, interior, justice, health and population, education and communications, and the intelligence chief.
The meeting asserted the importance of supporting the efforts of the international community to fight terrorism through a comprehensive approach that includes the development aspects besides the military moves and security confrontations. It also stressed the necessity of motivating the youths' energies, honing their skills and qualifying them for leadership positions in order to protect them from the extremist groups.
The sound and light show of the Pyramids of Giza displayed the flags of France, Russia and Lebanon in solidarity with these countries after deadly attacks in Paris and Lebanon and the crash of a Russian plane in Sinai.
The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world still standing, was illuminated by projectors reproducing the flags of France and Russia and the green cedar of Lebanon.
It is high time the world wake up and discuss the reasons to resist terrorism and make the world more secure.
