1. Detail figures in the tables may not add up to the totals because of rounding.
2. The present issue contains statistics which became available till 20/1/2009.
3. Data of population, vital statistics, labour are for population inside Egypt unless otherwise indication below the table.
4. Some figures in this issue are for calendar years which start in the 1st of January & end at 31th of December and other figures for fiscal years which begin in first of July and end at June 30 for the Agricultural years it Start in the 1st of November and end at 31th October of the next year.
5. Estimated data of population have been modified by using data of 2006 population system.
6. All data of this issue is available for subscribers of Egypt Intranet at CAPMAS website "http//www.capmas.gov.eg".
7. When any contents of this yearbook are to be quoted or copied in other publication. It is requested to refer to "Egypt in Figures 2009" .
8. According to presidential decree no. 114 of year 2008 modified with decree no. 124 of year 2008 concerning establishment of two governorates (6 October & Helwan) and modification of some governorates administrative borders. The data of governorates have been divided in population ; housing & Establishments 2006 Census, And it haven’t taken into consideration yet on the rest of data.
9. Luxor City isn't a governorate, it's including two cities two cities Luxor and Baiadia adding to other administrative units (Shiakats and Villages).
