On December 14, 2009, President Hosni Mubarak paid a visit to France to tackle means of reviving the peace process in the Middle East and tackling how to implement the recent EU decision on al-Quds as a capital for the Palestinian and the Israeli states which has expressed a French public desire since 1998. President Mubarak and his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy pay a great attention to ending the stalemate seen in the peace process at the current time. This summit serves as an opportunity to review and exchange views between the two presidents on means of giving a push to the peace process.
