The exhibition focuses on the issues of water and sustainable development where the water issue is of top importance given that water stands for life and is the seed of civilization. In addition, the water-related measures are one of the challenges facing the international community in the 21st century given the importance of water in the economic domain, environment, improving the living standards of the peoples and avoiding water conflicts in the geographical locations which suffer from water scarcity.

Egypt's participation is represented in displaying 12 artifacts which represent the relation of the ancient Egyptian to the River Nile. These artifacts highlight the interest of the ancient Egyptians in the Nile and how they made use of its renewable water resources in the development process by establishing dams and canals. These artifacts reflect how the River Nile was sacred in the ancient Egyptian civilization given that Hapi was the Nile god.
