Name: Ezzat Hassan aL Alaily Date of birth September 15, 1934
Biography: Born in Cairo, Alaily was known for his ability to learn songs by heart rather than learning school subjects. He joined the Higher Institute for theatrical Arts in 1955 taking advantage of being a student of such great actors like Fatouh Nashaty, Nabil al-Alfy, Abdel-Rahim al-Zurqany, Louis Awad and Mohamed Mandour. He has participate in such movies as "Message from anonymous woman", "The spy", "The unknown man", "Girls camp" and "3 faces of love". He also took part in a great number of television series. Ezzat's participation in Youssef Chahin's well-known film "The Soil" furthered his career. He also contributed to Chahin's other significant movie 'The Choice' the one he won the Golden Award for in the Carthage Festival. He acted in many artistically daring works that tackled several political issues of Egypt's different historical stages especially the Nasserist era "The dawn visitors", 'Who we will shoot then". Because of his distinguished works, Ezzat's name is written in the greatest World Encyclopaedia for Cinema. Moreover, he took part in six other movies produced as well as directed in the Arab world such as the Syrian movie "Suicide bomber" and the Lebanese "Beirut, Beirut'' and "Wolves couldn't eat meat". He also took part in the Iraqi film "al-Qadesia", the Moroccan film 'Write names on the sand' and the Algerian film "Mr. Faber's Mill".
