Khairy Beshara

A director whose films deal with the daily life issues of people. He founded a technique which is based on "Art for Reality".

He began his practical life as an assistant director after his graduation in the High Institute of Cinema, in Cairo in 1967.

He worked with director Abbas Kamal- in the movie "I am the Doctor" in 1967, and also with Tewfik Saleh in "The Daily Life of a Civil Servant in the Countryside".

In 1969, he travelled to Poland on a scholarship to a year and a half where he worked as an assistant for the director in "Desert and Forests" then he returned to Cairo to start his work in documentary films.

Many critics see him as one of the most famous directors of documentary films in Egypt. The majority of his films were both critically and publicly acclaimed.

Bishara's first feature was "The Bloody Destinies", produced in cooperation with Algeria.
