Abdel-Moneim Madbouli was born in Cairo on December 28, 1921. He joined the theatre group at his Industrial Secondary School and later the George Abiad's and Fatma Rushdi's companies after graduation before joining Sa'a Leqalbak "Amusing Hour for your Heart" in 1943. Madbouli was the first to establish a free theatrical group in Egypt with his colleagues in 1952. He was both actor and director in most of his plays. Of these works are: • Al-sekretair al-fanni (The technical secretary), with Fouad al-Mohandas, Showikar. • Al-Maghnatees (The magnet). • Al-Nas ali Taht (The people downstairs). • Bein al-Qassrein. • Zoqaq al-Madaq (The Madaq alley). • Raya we Sakina. Madbouli took part in a great number films and television serials. He died in 2006
