1906: Joined the Alexandria Religious Institute

1918: Obtained his Alameya Degree

1919: Participated in the 1919 Revolution

1958: Became Grand Imam of al-Azhar (under his tenure, al-Azhar worked to unite the ranks of Muslims worldwide)

1973: Represented Egypt in The Hague Conference

Numerous of his books and research were published for him, some of which were translated into English, French and German

Died on December 12, 1963
