Youth Forum kicks off with participation of 13 Arab countries

Director General of the Arab Women Organization (AWO) Mervat Tallawy inaugurated on Sunday 18/2/2018 the fifth youth forum organized by the AWO in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Ministry under the rubric of "Woman and the youth in the sustainable development goals 2030... Young vision".
The three-day event will witness the participation of 13 Arab countries.
The forum's objective is the empowerment of youth and their inclusion in the development process for achieving the sustainable development goals 2030.Focus will be on the importance of including woman and youth in the development plans to be reflected positively on Arab communities life.
Addressing the forum, Tallawy said that the sustainable development is a program for the welfare of humanity to eradicate poverty in all its forms.
The philosophy of sustainable development is based on coordination among bodies concerned as well as outlining future policies for the State as well as the youths and preserving the natural resources in the world for the coming generations.
She further pointed out to the role of Arab youth, who represent a big sector within the society, in achieving sustainable development goals.
