On 28/9/2014: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met his Irish on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York to discuss boosting relations especially in political, economic and trade fields. The meeting also reviewed ways to promote Irish private sector investments in Egypt.
On 8 - 9 July, 2008: The Foreign Minister of Ireland, Michael Martin, visited Egypt where he met his Egyptian counterpart and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing a Mechanism for Bilateral Political Consultation at the level of Assistant Ministers, the first agreement of its kind reached by Ireland with an Arab or African country.
In February 2008: Secretary General of the Irish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dermot Gallagher, visited Egypt, where he met his Egyptian counterpart and participated in the Euro-Arab Dialogue (EAD) Symposium organized by the Institute for Diplomatic Studies.
From 17th to 19th May 2008: The Irish Minister of State for Trade Mr. John McGuiness visited Egypt, where he participated in the meetings of the World Economic Forum held in Sharm El Sheikh.
In February 2007: Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Dermot Ahern visited Egypt.
On 6th – 7th December, 2007: Former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak visited Dublin.
In January 2006: An Egyptian Delegation on Interfaith Dialogue headed by the then Grand Mufti Dr. Ali Goma'a visited Ireland.
On 10th and 11th October 2005: Foreign Minister visited Dublin.
