Hungarian PM to visit Egypt soon

Egypt and Hungary on Saturday 7/5/2016 held a session of talks under the co-chairmanship of Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ambassador Hossam Zaki and a visiting Hungarian official in the presence of Hungarian Ambassador in Cairo Peter Kveck.


Consultations focused on the upcoming visit of the Hungarian prime minister to Cairo, bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of common interest.


Ambassador Zaki expressed satisfaction over the Hungarian support to Egypt over the past years, noting that friendly relations between the two countries would encourage more rapprochement in the various domains so as to reflect the distinguished relations binding the two countries.


The Hungarian official, for his part, reviewed the latest developments in his country and the European Union, especially the crisis of immigrants and refugees.


Ambassador Zaki also posted the Hungarian official on the latest developments in Egypt and the State's efforts to revitalize the economy in line with efforts to ensure security and stability.


The two sides also exchanged views on the situation in Libya, Syria and efforts to contain terrorism at the regional and international levels.

The Hungarian official also voiced his country's appreciation for Egypt and its influential role in the region, voicing hope for continuing cooperation with Egypt at all levels so as to achieve common interests.
