Shoukry, New Zealand's counterpart discuss Palestinian cause

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Tuesday, 10/5/2016 received New Zealand's Minister of Foreign Affairs Murray McCully at the presidency office of the UN Security Council .


McCully requested a meeting with Shoukry to discuss issues on the Security Council agenda .


Spokesman for Egypt's Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zaid said the meeting dealt with recent developments on the Palestinian arena and arrangements for Paris peace conference, slated for the end of May .


The two ministers also discussed a planned meeting to be held Wednesday under the title of "anti-ideological rhetoric of extremist groups" at the ministerial level that was called for by Egypt on the occasion of its presidency to the Security Council .


Discussions also touched on coordination in various international forums, and exchanging support between Egypt and New Zealand in the nominations for international positions .
