The Foreign Ministry is following up closely the conditions of the seven Egyptians nationals detained in the Libyan city of Misrata.
The ministry received their relatives who said that they were en route to Egypt when they were arrested.
The Foreign Minister Assistant for the Consulate Affairs Hisham el-Naqib said that the ministry contacts the concerned bodies.
The Egyptian Ambassador to Tripoli, who is currently in Cairo because of the security conditions, will contact the Libyan parties to know the place of their detention and get them released, he underlined.
The ministry renewed its warning against traveling to Libya in light of the unstable security conditions in the Arab country.
