Pope Tawadros: Egypt moves to wider horizons in Sisi's era

Pope Tawadros of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese said Egypt, in the era of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, is moving toward wider horizons, despite complications it suffered over the past few years.
Egypt has a special status among the world countries. It has the oldest ancient civilization and it is the first country to establish a central government, the Pope told a ceremony held in Alexandria city on Friday 05/08/2016.
"The Egyptian homeland is the only one over history that has not been divided, he said. He greeted president Sisi on the first anniversary of the inauguration of the New Suez Canal.
"We have to thank president Sisi for his commitment to achieve this huge project, he said.
