Thursday، 01 September 2016 - 02:21 PM

Egypt and Jordan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of social insurance for four years, 2016-2020.

The MoU was inked by the National Organization of Social Insurance of Egypt and the Social Security Corporation of Jordan.

The MoU signing came on the fringe of the meetings of the joint Egyptian-Jordanian Higher Committee which have been winded up in Cairo.

In press statements, Egypt's Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali, who signed the accord with Jordan's Labor Minister Ali Ghezawi, hailed the MoU as it asserts cooperation and information sharing between her ministry's affiliate and its counterpart of Jordan.

It will help both sides improve their services, procedures and systems, said the Egyptian minister.

She appraised as a regional leading experiment Jordan's investment of insurance funds.

Teams from both sides will be exchanged as part of cooperation which will also cover training and qualification for insurance cadres.
