Egypt condemns suicide blast in Baghdad

The Foreign Ministry has condemned a car bomb attack in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad that killed 32 people and wounded scores of others earlier on Monday 2/1/2017.
The attack, which occurred in Sadr City, was claimed by the terrorist Daesh group.
The ministry’s spokesman expressed the condolences of the government and people of Egypt to the Iraqi government and the families of the victims.
He stressed Egypt’s full support and solidarity with Iraq in the face of terrorism that seeks to destabilize the North African country.
He also asserted Egypt’s long-standing position on the necessity of concerting international efforts to counter terrorism and stop its financing sources.
