Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Ahmed Darwish said on Sunday 22/1/2017 that his organization plans to be one of the world's best seven investment destinations by 2035.

Addressing a conference on investment opportunities and challenges in the Suez Canal zone, Darwish said that the zone has all potentials and facilities for establishing companies, including customs exemptions that give the zone a competitive advantage compared to other economic destinations.

He described work in Ain Sokhna projects as a "success story", as the number of investors and developers who were keen on pumping investments there exceeded all expectations.

Contracts were signed for 25.6 million square meters in Ain Sokhna over the past 13 months, against only three million square meters over the previous 12 years, he added.
