Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas started on Sunday 19/3/2017 a visit to Egypt at an invitation by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

A meeting is scheduled to bring together President Sisi and his Palestinian counterpart Abbas on Monday 20/3/2017.

This visit comes in the framework of the continuous consultation and coordination between the two sides on various Arab and international issues of common interest ، especially ahead of the upcoming Arab summit in Jordan ، scheduled on March 29, 2017.

Sisi and Abbas will discuss the humanitarian, economic and security situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the ideas suggested on the ways to revive the Middle East peace process

Abbas will inform President Sisi on the Palestinian conditions, especially the efforts of the Palestinian administration to end the Israeli occupation and risks jeopardize the Palestinian cause.
